Ball and Chain by Abigail Roux
Home from their unexpected deployment, the former members of Marine Force Recon team Sidewinder rejoin their loved ones and try to pick up the pieces of the lives they were forced to leave behind. Ty Grady comes home to Zane Garrett, only to find that everything around him has changed—even the men he went to war with. He barely has time to adjust before his brother, Deuce, asks Ty to be his best man. But that isn’t all Deuce asks Ty to do, and Ty must call for backup to deal with the business issues of Deuce’s future father-in-law.
Nick O’Flaherty and Kelly Abbott join Ty and Zane at the wedding on an island in Scotland, thinking they’re there to assuage Deuce’s paranoia. But when bodies start dropping and boats start sinking, the four men get more involved with the festivities than they’d ever planned to.
With the clock ticking and the killer just as stuck on the isolated island as they are, Ty and Zane must navigate a veritable minefield of family, friends, and foes to stop the whole island from being destroyed.
My Thoughts
Ball and Chain by Abigail Roux was an addition to the Cut and Run series. Welcome back Ty and Zane.
I did read the other reviews and couldn't beleive them. I mean how can this book not get the same 5 star ratings as the others?
Now that I have completed the book I am can see where the other reviewers are coming from.
Now I give this book 4 stars. The writing in the book as just as great as the other in the series. I have said it before. Abigail Roux, is a wonderful author. She writes the best heart stopping, funny, stories. It is hard to find a MM author that puts so much work into books these days.
Now to the actual storyline. I like the addition of Nick and Kelly. I am looking forward to the Sidewinder series. The parts of the story with Ty and Nick and what they need to overcome where very well written.
Ty and Zane's relationship was the best part of this book. To see them grow and the love between them... perfect. Also the scene with them on the rug in front of the fireplace, HOT!!!
My only issue with this book was the plot. The mystery. In Cut and Run Book 1 my complaint was that the 'bad guy' who done it? mystery was a little too complicated. The same with this book. Too many characters and the mystery was lost (not becasue I figured it out) but because I was just like okay another one and on and on. It was just too much I think.
Great Ty and Zane... Great secondary characters. God I love all the Grady's. But the main plot just fell short to me.
I will be looking forward to some more Ty and Zane.
I recommend this book IF you have already read the series. I think this is the weakest book in the series and my least favorite. But if you start the cut and run series you will have to read this book and I think you will enjoy it.

Pull me Under by Zarah Detand
Pull me Under by Zarah Detand
As the first British footballer to come out at the prime of his career, it helps that Ben Jimmer is in a long-term, committed relationship with university student Henry Brown. Even if that relationship is fake.
Or: a cheerfully clichéd tale of romance, tattoos, football, and friendship (both with and without benefits). Also, tea. And stupidly complicated feelings, of course. Let's not forget about those.

My thoughts
Wow!
Okay I am not actually sure how I came across this book or why I purchased it. However I am truly glad that I did.
Ben is a footballer. (Okay in the US we can it soccer, lol) And he just outed himself. Now his firend and agent has a plan. Henry would make a great fake boyfriend. Let Ben's teamates and the paps think he was in a comitted relationship.
Okay, so this storyline is not new. I've actually read a few with this plot but this is one of the best.
This is not a strongly sex scened book. This is an emotional, sweet journey, that will have you frustrated and happy at the same time. Frustrated since Ben and Henry were not listening to me when I told them to TALK to each other and happy because of course we get our happily ever after.
This is all about the journey to get there.
The book is well written. The characters very well developed. And is sweet and funny. Oh I love Ben and Henry.
And... hint to the author...
If another story was written about Ben and Henry I will buy it! I would love to see the next season for Ben and Henry's music taking off. Maybe a sequel. Please?
I highly recommend this book. I really enjoyed it.

Among the Living (Psycop #1) by Jordan Castillo Price
Among the Living (Psycop Book 1)
Victor Bayne, the psychic half of a PsyCop team, is a gay medium who’s more concerned with flying under the radar than in making waves.
He hooks up with handsome Jacob Marks, a non-psychic (or “Stiff”) from an adjacent precinct at his ex-partner’s retirement party and it seems like his dubious luck has taken a turn for the better. But then a serial killer surfaces who can change his appearance to match any witness’ idea of the world’s hottest guy.
Solving murders is a snap when you can ask the victims whodunit, but this killer’s not leaving any spirits behind.
This is the first book of the series and as of today there are seven books total in the series.
My thoughts- Why did I wait so long to start this series?
I have no good excuse other than I'm not big on pyshic's. I've just never been that fond of them. I actually find the idea creepy. Weird yes since I love vampire, werewolf, and demon books. But moving on I gotta tell you that I am so glad that I finally gave in.
I kept seeing these books on goodreads list that I browse and finally gave in and bought the first book. That was yesterday and I just finished book 3.
That is how good this series is.
I love the two main characters. The quirky and lovable Vic with the hot and spicy Jacob. The supporting cast is fun and a great addition.
There is mystery and suspense. And I'm hooked!
Anyone who enjoys a good mystery with some hot man on man love with book is for you.
This book is highly recommended.
